It is with great sadness that we are cancelling the 2021 Wander Down Music Festival. The situation with Covid has gotten dramatically worse in our area and there are lots of unknowns with regard to the Delta variant, mask efficacy, vaccine efficacy, etc. We are no longer confident that we can provide a safe atmosphere for the many people relying on us to do so. So with that in mind, Poss Music Works, The Way Down Wanderers and Touch of Nature have come to the unpleasant conclusion that we need to cancel the festival.
This is a massive bummer for all of us and we understand your disappointment. It is our hope and belief that we will Wander Down again in 2022.
Tickets: I will be issuing refunds next week. Please respond to this email and tell me what email address to send the PayPal refund to. With regard to people who have purchased a ticket in the last year, I can probably just reverse the charges. Beyond that I’ll have to actually just send you the money.
Lodging: If you have made reservations with our host site Touch of Nature, their staff will be calling the phone listed on your reservation starting next week. Please watch for that call coming from a 618 area code.
If you have any other questions, please send an email to the following address:
Thank you for your understanding,

Covid Protocol for Wander Down Music Festival
After considerable consultation, discussion and debate, the Wander Down Music Festival has developed its rules with regard to Covid-19 mitigation.
All attendees 12 and over must either show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test within 72 hours of arriving at the festival site. We will be using the free and easy Clear App for verifying vaccination status. Anyone not fully vaccinated will need to provide a negative Covid test within 72 hours of arriving at the festival.
Masks will be required when indoors (unless you are in your own lodge room) and when interacting/talking with people outside your familial group. Because of the tightness of the seating at the Lake Stage, we are asking people to wear masks when attending shows there.
We are also encouraging patrons to spread out and be mindful of other people’s space.
WDMF and Touch of Nature will be providing hand sanitizer for our patrons to use. Please use it! Please bring a mask, and if you need a disposable mask, we will have some for sale at a very low cost. We want everyone to be safe and stay healthy. We also feel an obligation to keep our artists and staff safe. We hope you will join us in this effort. We reserve the right to expel anyone refusing to abide by our mitigation efforts.
Patrons who are not willing/able to comply with our Covid protocol can request a refund of their tickets by emailing Bill Poss at firstname.lastname@example.org by Aug. 27th.
